For about an hour now I’ve been online looking at the profiles of couples waiting to adopt children in the US and crying. 

I want to have a child just to give to these people.

My heart is broken.

What’s actually heartbreaking are the 400,000 children in foster care. Thousands of them are adoptable, and these “waiting couples” don’t want them. They want a brand-new infant. 

Not only do they want a brand-new infant.. they want a healthy, white infant.

If you want to adopt a kid, it’s really not that hard.  If you want to adopt a healthy white baby, there is a long ass waiting list.
